Parents and Carers

At Bridge End House Nursery we understand how influential parents and families are on children's development and well being, we make it our priority to involve you in your child's nursery experience.

We operate an 'open door' policy, which allows you to visit and call at any time!

We also have biometric fingerprint entry to each room which allows you to enter your child's room during their session, therefore being able to see their child happily engaged in their normal daily tasks, and from a safeguarding point of view means that only known people can access the nursery.

We use an app called Famly which allows our nursery staff to share photos, videos and instant messages with you as well as allowing you to share information with nursery via your Android smartphone or iPhone. You can read more about this below.

We understand how busy life can be as a parent, and whilst you have access to the Famly app, we also hold parent evenings to allow parents the chance to meet with your child's keyworker in a relaxed, unhurried environment to discuss any aspect of their child's care and education.

The news feed looks similar to Facebook. Parents can message, post and can ‘like’ items that nursery staff post and even add emoticons.

All information is visible in real time which means that parents can see important events as they happen.

We are also able to share our observations of children’s wellbeing, learning and development and link it to the early years foundation stage so that you can see and understand the progress your child is making.

You can contribute to their child’s learning and development record by posting photographs and accounts of what children do outside of nursery.

Staff can add the links to the EYFS to your posts enabling real collaboration to support children’s learning and development. You can also use the system to notify us of any holidays or sickness, and to update your personal information.
